The DOstamper Stars Thursday Challenge this week is very Nautical:
Iowa, being a "land-lubber" state, makes this design very appealing. I love the ocean, though I don't get to see it in person very often. History makes nautical subjects more masculine, so my card design could be used for your favorite fellow. The jist, to me, is Pacific Point and Brilliant (not really a whisper) White! So I used balloons instead of ocean objects, calmed the seas with Tempting Turquoise, and then grounded everything with neutral Soft Suede. The sentiment is done in Wild Wasabi since there is a delicate sprig of greenery in the picture. Here is my interpretation:
Other ingredients include: Whisper White ink ("stamped off once" technique), Balloon Celebration Stamp Set, Tree Builder, Balloon Builder & Cupcake Punches. (A small piece of leftover SAB Designer Series Paper Wildflower Fields for the envie), and Stampin' Dimensionals.
My fellow stars have their ideas too! Please check out their interpretations:
