The DOstamper challenge this week is a color challenge, but also (sort of) a climate challenge. The colors are more of a traditional Christmas theme, but as I sit here in my studio enduring a heat index of 105 degrees, I am not in the hot cocoa spirit!
No boots on my feet, nor wood burning in the fireplace. I feel like SNOW is a foreign word to me right now, though I am sure to quickly re-learn its meaning by living here in Iowa. My card today, is full of texture. Take a look:
The ornament is the focal point, it was made by using the "double drapery fold" technique. I actually saw a demo video on Frenchie's blog, and copied down the measurements. I then divided all the the numbers by 2 and got a "little ornament". The topper is cut from Silver Foil Paper with the Delicate Ornaments Thinlits die. The bow is made from 1/8th inch Silver Ribbon. The stamp set is a hostess only set called Time of Year. The banner is cut out with the Banners Bunch of Framelits. The added texture comes from the textured impressions embossing folder named Softly Falling. I also used two of the patterns from the designer series paper pack This Christmas Specialty. I also used the Big Shot, Stampin' Dimensionals, Glue Dots, and Snail adhesive.
