The DOstamper Stars have a color challenge this week:
Hmmmm ... Mostly Pastel-ie. My least favorite color collection. Don't know why, since my wedding colors (almost 30 years ago) were pastel. I guess our tastes can change!
Fruit or Flowers seem to be the choice. Since I don't have the Fruit Stand Suite (yet), that leaves me with flowers. Don't have a ton of flower sets, so what to do? I went to the Annual Catalog for inspiration. The card on page 137 caught my eye, so here is my version:
I seem to have a little trouble with color combos. I forget to do the, "cup, pint, quart" division of color. I tend to want each color to have its five minutes of fame, so, with color challenges, my designs tend to get a bit "cluttered". Here are the particulars if you are, "of a mind*" to do this card:
Stamp sets = Bunch of Blossoms, Number of years
Ink = Watermelon Wonder (mostly stamped off), Peekaboo Peach, and Pear Pizzazz
Card Stock = Whisper White, Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz
Embellishments = Pearl Basics, Peekaboo Peach Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals
Techniques = Sponging, Double Dimensionals (to give lift)
Tools = Blossom Builder punch, 1 3/4" circle punch
Remember that you can order any of these supplies from our 24 hour website. Just click the "Shop Now" button at the top of this blog.
I guess that we are "blog hopping" now, so I hope this works!
Have a super, happy stamping, day!
Angela
*(a colloquialism that is cracking me up right now)
Pretty card Angela!
